Gawain and the Green Knight

The New Year feast at King Arthur's Camelot is interrupted by a mysterious green stranger who offers the court an outrageous challenge.

 

In an effort to protect his king, and show his courage, Gawain accepts the offer which begins a year long quest to fulfil his part of the bargain.

 

Based on the 14th-century Middle English poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, It is a story of the temptation and redemption  of a young man seeking to honour a monsterous debt and its terrible consequences.
